Dancer on Pedestal, a collaborative, performance art installation, seeks to present the paradox of ‘Dancer’ as myth and human being. Through a soundscape of voice, effects, media and music the dancer weaves her/his way through her/his daily, rigorous interior and exterior life through their spiritual/emotional development and within the physical body and mind. By exploring the technical concepts of process versus performance, Dancer on a Pedestal is multi-sensory work, merging the aural with the visual, revealing the truths and mysteries of a dancer’s life.
